So You Think You Have the Fat Virus
70
The Virus has been around for a long time. In my family no one could get a tummy ache without someone stating with conviction, "They have the virus". Everyone knew that anyone with the virus would be laid up for two or three days, at least. Now researchers are telling us that the fat virus is going around. Well, I am not surprised to hear it because I can vouch for the fact that I have had the fat virus off and on for years. I thought I was suffering from yo-yo dieting but now I see that I had the fat virus. Most of the people I know seem to keep the FAT VIRUS because as my son says, they really plumped up overnight! All that coughing and sneezing in the winter was just the beginning of it! I can just see those little fat cells multiplying in my backside everytime someone next to me starts to sneeze!
My grandmother's best friend, Miss Blanche surely suffered from the fat virus thirty years ago. She was a short woman with gray hair and as broad as she was tall. I never heard her sneeze or cough one time, but my grandmother suffered from what we thought was hay fever...Do you think it was the fat virus that plumped Miss Blanche up so? Miss Blanche was my grandmother's closest friend and she hardly ever ate a bite of food. Must have been the fat virus that got the best of her.
This FAT VIRUS is an awful sickness! Why, imagine getting on a plane sniffing and sneezing as you make your way to your seat in the back...everyone you pass starts to plump up right away. Before you get to L.A. everyone on the plane has plumped up! Just imagine the scene on the street as you sniff and sneeze your way past the donut shop. Everyone with a donut or a fritter in their hand starts to plump up as you forward your fat virus their way! No...those donuts and fritters could not possibly be the culprit now that we have the fat virus!
It is such a relief to finally know what caused me to plump up this way. No more worrying about that piece of chocolate cake...no more worrying about the chips and dip last night! I can forget about that Baconator and fries from lunch today! No, sir! We have the fat virus and that’s the end of it. I think I’ll have a banana split...
