Christianity is all about faith. Faith in God reaches to the core of your being! God wants to know you better. I challenge you to take the most exciting journey of your life! Have faith! Go for it!
Many people view Christians today as crack pots or illiterate one dimensional thinkers who are gullible and eager for a quick fix. The truth is a little deeper. It is true that to become a Christian requires a leap of faith. That is why the first Christians were called believers! What is so strange about requiring faith? People accept many things they are told today on faith with no verification of the facts at all. Unfortunately, it is only in the Christian world that one must be able to present the facts before some people will even listen.
In today's world God is one among many options that do not include consequences if you choose not to believe. God has become a mythical being that was created somewhere back in time to comfort the poor ignorant people whose lives were so bleak and pitiful they needed something to offer hope to get them through the day. Taking something on faith alone is not something done only by Christians. People who believe that this American Congress have any solutions for the current financial crisis are definitely people of great faith! There is no evidence whatsoever that our current Senate and Congress have any solutions to our problems, but some on the left take it on faith and fervently push this agenda!
My point is that faith is part of our lives. Faith runs through every action we take. You exhibit faith every time you turn on your light switch. Turning on a light switch means that you have faith that power grids are functioning normally, maintenance has been kept up, your bill was paid on time, and posted appropriately, etc. The list goes on and on. Faith is a part of life so it is not extraordinary that God expects us to accept him on faith.
God is not an option on your to do list! The great contract between God and the human race guarantees you the right of choice. However, most people quickly blind themselves to the rest of the story. You may choose to reject God, but there will be consequences. Hell is real and not something to dismiss lightly. Once you get past the fact that Hell is real you have the opportunity to come to God and learn what he is really all about. So many people waste their time in the basic discussion about the reality of God that they never get to the good part!
There are reasons why people come to God other than the fear of hell! There is a relationship with God that is so intimate and exciting that words can barely begin to explain it. But...you who want to stand back and argue about the existence of God will never know such a relationship!
Our world is going through rocky times and if you are looking for something so wonderful that you will marvel that you did not understand before, this is it! God loves you and wants to get to know you better. I challenge you to take the leap of faith that will change your life! Go for it!

Very good article. People use faith everyday just to get out of the bed in the morning. This faith and strength comes from God, but some won't believe it or admit it. It takes faith and humility to accept Jesus within your heart. Thank God He never gave up on me even though I gave up on Him multiple times before finally being able to see and falling in love with Him.
Kendra5, my faith is a part of my very being. So many people view believers as people who have left reality behind. I view non-believers as people who are alone. I don't have faith anymore. But I don't attack people's beliefs. People have the right to believe anything that gives them peace. After all, at the end of the day. We are all beautiful human beings in search for meaning and peace. I don't see therefore, why I should attack anyone. What I don't understand though is why some fanatics, are attacking other people just because they don't believe their theories. Because at the end of the day. It's only a theory that some believe (do not know) they only believe because they were raised that way. And some others don't really believe. It's all a matter of how we are raised. If you are raised to not believe something, you don't believe it, even if it's true. If you are raised to believe something, you believe it, even if it's only a comforting myth. I am not against comforting myths. What I am against is the arrogance of some people and their audacity to insult others. We need to wake up people. Believers or non- believers, we are still human beings and we need to love one another and respect one another's choices and lifestyles.

As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to take a bold but loving stand for our faith. Many believers are afraid to speak out to the lost for obvious reasons (rejection, ridicule, etc.). If only they knew the peace, joy and love that comes from knowing Him...Thank you for sharing your faith.
